Shinsuke Yoshitake: Today's Adventure
The Today’s Adventure cover by Shinsuke Yoshitake is filled with a collection of small illustrations that came about as simple sketches. There are so many cute poses in the mix, with some looking bored and others staring off deep into space. Children consider even an average day to be full of adventure and this design is to remind us to write about even our average days and cherish those moments.
The natural-colored cotton canvas material has been printed on with an inkjet printer. The interior pocket is printed with Shinsuke Yoshitake’s signature next to an illustration of a sitting baby. Opening your techo to meet the baby’s distant expression is sure to help you feel even more attached to your cover over time.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Every day is special in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Each time you pick up this techo, remember all the little joys you’ve experienced in your life on the island.
This techo cover encapsulates all the joys of spending your daily life alongside friends on the island. The bookmark charms depict the iconic leaf design of Animal Crossing. The cover interior is printed with the Animal Crossing: New Horizons logo and comes with a free sheet of schedule stickers.
This leather-trimmed trifold cover is made of a navy twill material. The name of this cover comes from “Safari Style,” the fashion style European nobles wore on safari in Africa back in the first half of the twentieth century. You can hold the cover sideways like a clutch bag. The smile pocket on the interior, pen hook, and bookmark charms also uses cow leather. Inside the flap are two vertical pockets that can hold cards and other small objects. In front of that is another small vertical pocket that is trimmed, and on the back is a large pocket that fits A4-sized documents folded in half.
An antique button was reprinted specially for the Hobonichi Reflect cover.
The original button was made at the end of the 19th century in France. Inside the room, a cat is peering into a mirror. The button is detailed, down to the floorboards, the pattern of the wallpaper and the coat of the cat. The herringbone material is made with wool tweed. It’s an eye-catching red, but the texture calms it down, so it suits well with anybody.
Close the cover using the belt with snap-on buttons. There are two button snaps so that the cover can accommodate your techo’s growing thickness if you paste in items like photographs and ticket stubs. The pen hook on the cover interior is designed to hold a pen by its clip. The button starts out bright and shiny, and gradually darkens and dulls over time for that classic brass look you can enjoy while your cover matures alongside you.
Liberty Fabrics: Erica
Erica is a textile that was created for Liberty Fabrics in 1969. It features small wildflowers with long stems, intertwined across the whole fabric. Interspersed among the blooming flowers are some buds that give the design a cute look. The black background makes the beauty of the flowers pop. The cover is made with Liberty Fabric’s own "Tana Lawn" material, a meticulously processed cotton fabric with a soft, silken feel that offers prints in vibrant colors. The cover interior uses a soft material that almost feels like cotton.
This cover uses a fabric that is representative of mintdesigns’ challenging approach. The material is created with Medicom Toy, and is used in items such as bags and accessories. A non-uniformed, vibrant pink colored zig-zag pattern is printed on a cotton canvas. The material is then PVC coated, and is further embossed to add surface texture. The smoothness coming from the PVC coexists with the texture coming from the emboss. It’s less likely to get dirty, which is a also a big bonus.
The pen holders and the charms on the end of the bookmarks are made with natural leather. It will fit to your hand the more you use it, and will change color as it ages.
mina perhonen: tambourine
Ever since it was born in 2000, “tambourine” is one of minä perhonen’s trademark designs. The pattern features small dots of embroidery arranged in a circle, reminiscent of a tambourine. Because the base of the embroidered dots is drawn by hand, each dot holds a different expression. The pattern conveys how imperfections are beautiful and there is not one same thing in this world. The base fabric is a linen georgette that has an elegant sheen matched with the woven texture. Thick threads were roughly woven to create a supple texture.
The “butterfly-stopper” pen holders and cover interior are navy blue to match the textile. Two dotted lace bookmarks are attached.
Sold separately is the PVC Cover on Cover for selected covers. In addition to protecting your cover from wear and tear, the Cover on Cover is a great place to store postcards, pictures, and other decorations to customize your cover at any time.

Note: The Hobonichi Techo's Tomoe River paper is designed to prevent bleed-through, but some fountain pens and water-based ink pens are not compatible with this paper. When switching to a new pen, we recommend testing the pen somewhere in the book, such as the back memo pages, to see if the ink bleeds through or takes an especially long time to dry.
